The area contained hundreds of industrial railway sites centred on the extensive South Wales coalfield with associated steelworks and dockyards. The book includes locations in Merthyr, Dowlais, Mountain Ash and Aberdare, Pontypool, Cardiff, Barry and Aberthaw. The book contains a comprehensive selection of 95 interesting black and white photographs.
