Published in 2001 with 464 pages of text, including 40 pages of full colour maps.  These three counties form a contiguous geographical area which is very distinct in character. Most of the industrial railways centred around the extraction industry, mainly sand, chalk and gravel pits.  The Corby area has extensive ironstone workings and a steelworks. The book includes Corby, Northampton, Kettering, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Luton, Bedford, Bletchley and Aylesbury.
